Not the calories!

 

I’m not a fan of any eating plan that advocates calorie-counting. All calories are not created equal! What does 200 calories look like? And what do the various options do to your body? Think, 200 calories of chocolate cake (so, sugar, flour, cocoa, milk, eggs and whatever else goes into a standard chocolate cake) versus an apple. For some, there is no comparison – but clearly the impact of each option is going to have its own particular effect on your body. Every cell. Every time.
