You've Gotta Love

Look in the mirror. Go on! What do you see? Rattle off 10 words to describe the person you see. How long will it take till you find words like “beautiful” and “handsome”, “wisdom”, “perfection”, "enough"… Let me guess, you saw wrinkles, bags under your eyes, grey hairs, crooked teeth, what else….

You are perfect. Amazing. Unique. Worthwhile. Valuable. Gifted.

Love – starts with yourself. When you are happier in your own skin, the whole world becomes a better place.

How do you consistently speak to yourself? I hazard a guess that it’s far harsher than you speak to anyone else on the planet. Why is that? There is a saying “Be careful how you speak to yourself, you are listening!”. Yes?  Shrug off that inner nasty nagging voice. Set it free...!

So “love” starts with you! Connecting with you. Affirming you. Encouraging you. Celebrating you.

Once your relationship with yourself is more positive I bet your relationships with the rest of the world are more positive and this is the other aspect of the primary food of love. We must establish good and positive connections with like-minded people and foster our spirituality – in whatever form works for you.

Where do you meet people with whom you feel at ease, where you don’t have to over-think responses and you “speak the same language”? … That is where you belong!

If there is one, how is your relationship with your “significant other”? This can be the corner-stone to your health and happiness or the termite in your crumbling self-esteem. This one in particular is an important relationship because of the power of intimacy. Not just sex. But love, trust, caring, honesty, sharing, kindness…
