Working with Me

 

Why work with an IIN holistically focussed health coach? 

 

  • I have studied & understand over 100 dietary theories (in case you are particularly wed to any)

  • I understand that no one diet suits every person (and will never advocate any "diet")

  • Whilst food becomes our blood, thoughts & feelings, there is a whole dimension of life, beyond food, that needs to brought to balance for health & wellbeing

  • My approach is all about the individual, not a theory 

  • My recommendations are more focussed on inclusions than omissions (unless warranted for the individual)

  • Your recovery is my focus to which I give my time (every session is 1 hour), training and focus.

 

What to expect from me:

 

As your coach I listen to you. I ask (lots) of questions. I care for you. I motivate you. I challenge you. I am honest with you. I push you.  I encourage. I develop a program tailored to your own needs.  I support you. I help you work through any set-backs. I celebrate your successes. 

 

You can also expect: a string of recipes and explanations of foods you might have heard of but never tried; lots of answers to all manner of questions you will find;  cooking demonstrations; if in the same location (I work via skype etc as well), shopping trips to a supermarket and/or health store (if you’ve avoided them, the latter is not scary at all!); group coaching sessions to share ideas and thoughts – where acceptable to you; email and phone support between sessions; documents to help you better clarify and understand your health and wellbeing. And so much more.

 

What I expect from you: your honesty, enthusiasm, determination & perseverance, your presence (show up!), commitment – to you and to the steps we agree on to get you to where you want to be,a willingness to embrace change and your excitement as you achieve each goal!
